All About Me
Dawn - edging ever closer to 30, although I still feel like I'm 21. :) I'm married to a youth pastor ('Big G'), and have THREE wonderful kids: a five year-old son ('Little G'), a just turned two year-old daughter ('A'), and our newest little girl blessing, Baby R, was born May 28/07!! They keep me hopping as I juggle them, my WAH part-time job as an accountant, being a pastor's wife, and of course hobbies like quilting, scrapbooking, and blogging!

Feeling better...
Have you ever seen those advertisements for hearing aids where they ask questions like "do you avoid going out in social situations because of your hearing?" I can say right now my answer would be a hearty "YES!"

I am feeling much better than last week - I ended up going to the doctor Wednesday evening (we don't have any walk-in clinics here, so they have 'outpatients' time at the local hospital morning and evening) and by the time I saw him, my eardrum had burst already! No wonder it was hurting so badly! So I'm still on antibiotics, but I feel 100 times better than I did...except for my ear which still feels like it's just got a little bit of water stuck in it. Not painful, but very irritating, and when I'm around a bunch of people it just sounds like swirling voices underwater. And forget singing, lol - we had worship team practice last night and everything is echoing and tinny-sounding in my head, and my voice echoes the loudest of all, so I just gave up with the singing part and just played piano for the night. :)

Big G was away for the weekend, and I didn't really start feeling better until Sunday or Monday, so it was a difficult few days. But God continued to be faithful and gave me friends right when I needed them to give me a little boost to get me through the next few hours at a time - I laid on a friend's couch Friday morning while Little G was at school, which made the morning with high-energy A much easier; the other pastor's wife brought supper over on Saturday; and I sort of invited myself over to another dear friend's house for lunch (and all afternoon) on Sunday - A napped there (as did I!) and her college-aged kids played with Little G outside to run off some of his energy.

I'm now frantically trying to catch up on work and everything else that is showing signs of neglect from me being horizontal for a week! My family is coming up this weekend, so I need to get the house clean-ish for them, and Big G is at a coaching clinic tonight, tomorrow, and all day Saturday, so I won't have much help unfortunately! Now, if I could just get my ear unplugged...
