All About Me
Dawn - edging ever closer to 30, although I still feel like I'm 21. :) I'm married to a youth pastor ('Big G'), and have THREE wonderful kids: a five year-old son ('Little G'), a just turned two year-old daughter ('A'), and our newest little girl blessing, Baby R, was born May 28/07!! They keep me hopping as I juggle them, my WAH part-time job as an accountant, being a pastor's wife, and of course hobbies like quilting, scrapbooking, and blogging!

Hot, hot, hot!
It is hot. I've just come in from reading on the deck, and I have rivulets of sweat dripping down my body in all sorts of obscene places. I hate sweat.

Those who live further south will probably laugh when you hear how (not really) hot it is here, but remember that we're not used to this - I think we're setting record highs this week. And we have no air conditioning. To keep cool, we rely on covering up all the windows until you can hardly tell from the inside if it's day or night, and planting ourselves in front of electric fans which at least blow some of the sweat off of you. Then at night (which isn't that long, considering it's not dark until 11:30pm and it's light before 5am) we throw open all the windows, relocate the fans to in front of the windows to draw the cool(er) air in, and try to get some sleep before the next sweaty day begins.

It's 88 right now, with highs of 89-91 forecasted for the rest of the week. I know, not really that hot compared to some places, but more than enough for me! I almost found myself wishing for winter (sacrilege!) when I keep sneaking down the hall to the thermostat to notch it up another degree without Big G noticing. :) Almost.
