All About Me
Dawn - edging ever closer to 30, although I still feel like I'm 21. :) I'm married to a youth pastor ('Big G'), and have THREE wonderful kids: a five year-old son ('Little G'), a just turned two year-old daughter ('A'), and our newest little girl blessing, Baby R, was born May 28/07!! They keep me hopping as I juggle them, my WAH part-time job as an accountant, being a pastor's wife, and of course hobbies like quilting, scrapbooking, and blogging!

Small Victories
I'm trying to get serious about losing my 'baby weight' (yes, including the extra 5lbs from the first baby who is now five years old). We may very well have a fourth child some time in the future, and 5 extra pounds times four children equals a whopping 20 extra pounds which I do not need! I figure it's better to try to get back down now rather than wait until I'm totally done with having babies...as depressing as it will be if I lose what I want to and then get pregnant and start all over!

Anyway...Little G did amazing at his swimming lesson today (more on the swimming later) so I took the kids to A&W for lunch as a treat. BUT I didn't get anything for myself! Okay, I stole a few several of their fries and a (couple) bites of A's hamburger which she didn't finish, but I think that's still far better than having a whole meal to myself. I came home and made a salad for lunch.

Hooray for small victories! It's hard to keep motivated when the weight is very slowly trickling rather than falling off, but I'm trying to be encouraged by other kinds of successes rather than just the number on the scale.
